Hey guys! Welcome back to my blog. Today I’ll be sharing with you some of my most recent art pieces that I have made. Some of these are collages, some are paintings, drawings, or a mix of both! All of these have been made on mixed media paper, and I’ll share the materials I’ve used for each one as well. Let’s get started!
Art Piece #1

This is a collage that I made with pieces of newspaper, and the background is made with orange acrylic paint and sharpie. This piece is inspired by the works of the artist Yayoi Kusama, she used a lot of circles in her artwork. Here are some of her most famous pieces below.

I had a lot of fun with this one and it was really cool experimenting with collage and it isn’t something I do a lot. This turned out pretty well, so I decided to start doing more collage, as you’ll see in my next pieces.
Art piece #2

This one is one of my favorite pieces I’ve made, it took an extremely long time finding bits of paper that matched the color that I wanted. I looked through magazines, and newspaper articles to find pieces of paper. I’m not sure if you’re able to tell, but this one is inspired by the artist Vincent Van Gogh, I combined two of his most famous pieces The Starry Night Sky, and Sunflowers.
Art Piece #3

This one is another collage, made with a bunch of different materials. The background is watercolor and crayon. The scraps of paper I’ve glued on are just old pieces of paper I’ve found lying around the house. I also used patterned washi tape to add more design.
Art Piece #4

This is a fun abstract piece I made with acrylic paint. The background is just plain black, and I used neon acrylic paint to make the shapes. Then, I used sharpie to make the designs. This piece is inspired by the artist Gillian Ayres, but I added my own spin to it by making the shapes neon. Here are a few of her famous works.

Personally, I think I could have done a better job incorporating her art style into my piece, because she uses more organic shapes than I did. But it’s alright because it still turned out pretty well.
Art Piece #5

Last but certainly not least, I drew the Harry Styles December Vogue cover. I adore (pun intended, if you are not a harry styles fan you probably won’t get it) this piece because it turned out a lot better than I expected. It was just made with colored pencil, and I think it looks really cool!
I hope you liked these! Which one was your favorite? Let me know in the comments! I’ll see y’all in my next post, bye!
